In 2016, I learned to scuba dive because I wanted to try something new and because I’ve always loved the water. It changed my life.
A few years later, when I began actively traveling for dive writing assignments, I also learned to love topside adventures—safaris in Sri Lanka, giant tortoise whispering in the Galapagos, tea with the Bedouins in the Egyptian desert, and of course, rum tasting in storm-beaten Caribbean distilleries.
Since then I’ve been eager to show others how travel and the underwater world can change their life too.
I’m a scuba diving instructor, a gear junkie, a writer, a photographer, an animal lover, and a maker. I’m also a South African expat. Though I’m currently cutting my teeth on semi-nomadic living in the U.S.A., one day, I suspect I’ll find my way onto a boat or perhaps a far-flung island with plentiful fruit trees and a warm and welcoming culture.
Until then, I hope you’ll find value in the things I share so you too can head out on your own life-changing adventures.
